"widow's peak"指的是额头上发线中间向下突出的尖。一种毫无科学根据的说法认为，有"widow's peak"的妇女命中注定要比她的丈夫活的长，因此就要守寡。这个短语最早出现在1849年。

"widow's peak"并非只有女性才有。不同的是男性的被叫做"widower's peak",中文自然就可叫“克妻相”了。
